Landco Lifestyle Ventures’ The Nautilus at CaSoBe Joins IWBI’s WELL for Residential Program

Landco Lifestyle Ventures’ The Nautilus at CaSoBe (Calatagan South Beach) in Batangas is participating in the International WELL Building Institute’s (IWBI) WELL for residential pilot program, bringing a stronger focus on health, wellness, and resilient home design to the Philippine residential and leisure property sector.

Announced on September 26, 2026, the participation makes The Nautilus at CaSoBe one of the residential developments contributing to the development of IWBI’s new global benchmark for healthier and more resilient homes. The WELL for residential program is an evidence-based, third-party verified certification program designed to support human health and well-being through the way residential spaces are designed, built, and maintained.

For Landco Lifestyle Ventures, the adoption of WELL strategies reflects its “Life on Vacation” philosophy, with The Nautilus at CaSoBe designed to provide more than a beachfront lifestyle. The development aims to incorporate health and wellness considerations into the planning and construction of its residential spaces, creating an environment where residents and property owners can experience a more wellness-focused way of living.

The WELL for residential program is based on the science-backed principles of the WELL Building Standard and covers 10 WELL concepts. It includes more than 100 health strategies that can be applied to new and existing residences, including single-family homes and units within multifamily developments.

At The Nautilus at CaSoBe, these strategies include considerations for indoor air and water quality, lighting, movement, building materials, and moisture management. Air and water quality monitoring, filtration and testing protocols, circadian-responsive lighting, walkable site planning, accessible stairs, and material standards designed to address moisture and mold are among the areas being considered under the WELL framework.

The development is also participating in the pilot phase of the program, which brings together architects, builders, developers, operators, owners, and other industry professionals from different parts of the world. The initiative is intended to help shape the future of healthier residential communities and make wellness-focused homes more accessible.

According to Erickson Y. Manzano, President and CEO of Landco Lifestyle Ventures, the company’s participation in the WELL for residential pilot complements its “Life on Vacation” philosophy. The company sees health and well-being as an important part of creating residential communities where property ownership is connected not only to location and lifestyle but also to how people experience their homes.

The WELL for residential program also introduces third-party review and verification. Upon completion of the required review and verification of selected strategies, residences may earn the WELL Residence seal. Projects can also pursue precertified WELL Residence status following preliminary design review, allowing participating developments to demonstrate progress before construction is completed.

The development of the WELL for residential program was informed by two years of industry input, market insights, and expert recommendations from IWBI’s WELL for residential Advisory group. The group included more than 100 experts from the fields of real estate, architecture, engineering, public health, building science, government, and academia.

With The Nautilus at CaSoBe in Calatagan, Batangas joining the program, Landco Lifestyle Ventures is bringing the WELL framework into the Philippine coastal property market. The initiative highlights the growing interest in wellness real estate, healthy homes, sustainable residential development, and people-first property design.

The WELL for residential program expands IWBI’s broader WELL ecosystem, which includes WELL Certification, WELL Health-Safety Rating, WELL Performance Rating, WELL Equity Rating, WELL Community Standard, and other health-focused building strategies. According to IWBI, organizations around the world have adopted WELL strategies across thousands of commercial and residential locations.
